SA Museum Request

An email request received from The South Australian Museum 28th November 2007.   The email read as follows:-

The South Australian Museum is planning a new exhibition featuring the biodiversity of South Australia. We have many specimens, but not all are suitable for the exhibition. They may be too valuable scientifically or mounted inappropriately for the exhibition. We would like to supplement our collection with new material if possible. We have asked people to be on the lookout for animals that have died in captivity, victims of traffic accidents or other sources of specimens that may be useful.

Your interests mean that you are more likely than most to come into possession of material that might assist the gallery development. To this end I append a list of animals we would particularly like to have (Listed below). We do not expect to gain anywhere near all the specimens listed, but if you could alert us if you know of a possible source of one or more of them I would be very appreciative.

If you have any comments or suggestions I would be very please to hear from you.

Yours truly
Simon Langsford
